They say the only constant in life is “change” – its inevitable. Its something we all go through, it effects us at different times in our lives. Just when things are calm and serene, something happens to upset our apple cart. We’re knocked off balance and struggle desperately to find it again.
That is where I am in my life right now. Trying desperately to find my footing.
Big life changes have caused me to question who I am, what I like, and what I want. I think after you’ve been in a relationship for so long, you start to pick up the other person’s tendencies, likes, dislikes, and you start to morph into this hybrid version of the two of you. Somewhere along the way, you lose a bit of yourself and you don’t even realize it.
With every ending is a new beginning – and that’s what I’ll be showcasing here. My new beginning. Rediscovering what I like, what I want, and most importantly who I am.
This blog is an outlet for me. I love to eat, drink, cook, read, run and try new things. The majority of what I post will be in reference to those things. I live in south central Pennsylvania so the places I write about will mainly be from this area.
I was born, raised and still live in York County. York is considered a “small town” but with 420,000+ people I don’t consider it small. We’re conveniently located 45 minutes from Baltimore, less than two hours from DC, two hours from Philadelphia, and three and half hours from New York City if you take the train.
York is an interesting place. People who visit find the community charming. People who live here say, “there’s nothing to do.” Just like me, York is struggling to find its identity, stuck between who it was and who it wants to be. Its going through its own “New Beginning.” I hope through this blog I can discover who we both are!
